Capoeira


Do you feel like trying an active sport that keeps you fit?
Something different from the usual gymnasium, volleyball and soccer?
Maybe capoeira is right for you! ( I know it seems like a commercial! XD )
Avete voglia di provare un sport attivo e che vi tenga in forma?
Qualcosa diverso dalla solita palestra, pallavolo e calcio?
Magari la capoeira può fare per voi! ( lo so scritto cosi sembra uno spot pubblicitario! XD)

It is a martial art born in Africa and then brought by african slaves'tribes deported to Brazil by the Portuguese. It is a kind of fight characterized by the music and the harmony of the movements and it's based on the no physical contact ( even though, especially during the first lessons,you may be involved in unvolontary contact because you don’t have full control of your body or because you make mistakes).
Si tratta di un’arte marziale nata in Africa e portata successivamente da alcune tribù di schiavi africani deportati in Brasile dai portoghesi. È una forma di lotta caratterizzata dalla musica e dall’armonio dei movimenti e si basa sul non contatto fisico ( anche se, soprattutto le prime lezioni, è probabile che il contatto scappi perché non si ha il pieno controllo del proprio corpo o perché si sbaglia).

Fighting is done on musical rhythms surrounded by people who sing and play particular instruments, including:
I combattimenti si fanno a ritmo di musica di solito circondati da gente che canta o che suona degli strumenti particolari, tra cui
· Berimbau, musical bow – un arco musicale

· Atabaque, a type of drum – un modello di tamburo

· Pandeiro, tambourine – tamburello a sonagli

· Agogo, wooden or metal bell – campana di legno o metallo
To practice you wear particolar pants called abadà which make movements easier.
I tried just once and, if I remember well the session lasted two hours and a half: I was exhausted XD
You begin with an hour( then it depends of the teacher and the choosen methods) of stretching and during the next hour exercises will train your necessary muscles for pirouettes and acrobatics.

Nella capoeira si usano dei pantaloni particolari chiamati abadà che facilitano i movimenti.
Provai una volta sola, una lezione di prova, se non ricordo male di due ore e mezza: ero
stravolta XD
Si comincia con un’oretta ( poi dipende dall'insegnante e dai metodi utilizzati) di riscaldamento e l’ora successiva con esercizi che allenano i muscoli necessari per le piroette e le acrobazie.

You have to know that the days following your first training you will feel body muscles that you didn’t even know the existence, but it was an interesting, open- minded and very funny and you are in contact with a different culture.

Sappiate che i giorni successivi ai primi allenamenti sentirete muscoli del corpo che non sapevate nemmeno esistessero, però è stata un esperienza interessante e molto divertente, si entra a contatto anche con una cultura differente J

  4. First off I want to say excellent blog! I had a quick question in which I'd like to ask if you don't mind.
    I was interested to know how you center yourself and clear your mind prior to writing.
    I've had trouble clearing my thoughts in getting my thoughts out. I truly do enjoy writing but it just seems like the first 10 to 15 minutes are usually lost simply just trying to figure out how to begin. Any suggestions or hints? Appreciate it!
